I have been teaching for 17 years. I am certified to teach physical education and health K-12, science and social studies 4-9 with a middle school endorsement. I started college at UNO and graduated with my bachelors at UMKC.(University Missouri in Kansas City) graduate classes at UNO. I am very busy with my kids. I enjoy going to their ball games to cheer them on.

What are your reflections about using media in education?

I really think that using any media in the classroom is beneficial for the kids. It brings what they are learning to what they may know. Such as using the internet for information. They are comfortable with lots of media-phones, ipods, computers, cameras and video-and are willing to use them. They want to share what they know and show off for the camera.The ones behind the camera also feel ownership of what they have done.

What is one thing about the Omaha Science Media Project that you'd share with other teachers?

To let the students use media in the classroom to enhance their learning and share ideas. Please use what is available to you.
