School: Omaha Nort High Magnet School
Subject: Music and Media Technology; Honors
Facilitator, collaborator, innovator, and creativity entrepreneur - this is how I describe my position at Omaha North High Magnet School where I work with amazing young people. Technology is the vehicle we use to go on unlimited learning adventures. I consider myself a life-long learner, and I have received outstanding educational opportunities at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Temple University, and through various, less formal environments. Life is better with music, traveling, and doing anything outdoors!
What are your reflections about using media in education?
I believe in embracing today’s technology to facilitate creative learning opportunities for all students. Our students are capable of so much more than the education of our past generations. Let’s make learning an adventure. Media is what I use to make it happen.
What is one thing about the Omaha Science Media Project that you'd share with other teachers?
Throughout the OSMP experience, I loved seeing teachers and students viewing each other as colleagues in learning.
