Bruce Mitchell

Bruce Mitchell draws upon 31 years of professional experience to teach advertising copywriting, new media, videography and visual literacy. A videographer and cinematographer originally from Texas, Bruce has been associated with broadcasting or advertising in a variety of positions. As a production manager of an NBC affiliate and a PBS affiliate he has worked on projects that range from music productions to directing live news programs.

He spent more than six years working with two production companies, traveling the country to shoot and produce training videos, sales videos, national, regional, and local commercials and music videos. As a producer with Snitily Carr Advertising Agency for 10 years, his credit include promoting the Nebraska Department of Tourism, shooting film for the Denver Broncos in-stadium presentations and producing interactive multi-menu DVDs.

Currently, he is co-producing a documentary about the executive producer of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, and he has worked on and assisted with the production of other documentaries for the college. Bruce graduated from Doane College with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Training and Development and is currently working on a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Technology.
