Leah Carpenter
University of Nebraska State Museum
Leah Carpenter has been an employee at the University of Nebraska State Museum for nearly 7 years. She works closely with Dr. Judy Diamond, Professor and Curator. Her responsibilities vary from public service to store manager and serving as a liaison to “friends” of the museum. Leah’s work has expanded over the years, and she now serves on the World of Viruses team.
Leah received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Her major was Biological Sciences. Leah currently contributes to the World of Viruses project and to research in the Human Papillomavirus lab, and has since her undergraduate years. In the fall she will be starting a Master’s Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health, with a primary concentration on community health education. Upon completion of her MPH degree she plans to attend medical school, focusing her studies on the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
